Description
History
Always produced in its historic distillery in Amatitán, in the Jalisco region, Mexico, since its foundation in 1861. This tequila is made exclusively with Blue Agave following a traditional recipe and method.
Production method
Tequila is made from blue agave. Ripe piñas are harvested, cooked in ovens, and crushed to extract the juice. This juice ferments with yeast for 3-5 days. A double distillation follows to obtain tequila. Finally, tequila can be bottled immediately (Blanco) or aged in oak barrels (Reposado, Añejo, Extra Añejo) before bottling.
