Description
History
This Anejo rum has a history dating back to the times of the Spanish Conquistadores and the origins of the estate are lost in the mid-1700s, although the Destilería Carúpano C.A brand was only created after the Second World War. The distillery is based on a centuries-old culture of distillation processes, still treated with artisan attention today, and uses only high quality raw materials, deriving from sugar cane and very pure and light water to obtain the final distillates.
Production method
Before being bottled, this rum ages for 12 years in the warm and humid climate of the Caribbean, in American white oak barrels. The result is a medium-aged distillate that perfectly embodies the authentic style of this ancient Venezuelan distillery.

The nose reveals rich and intense aromas of oriental spices, cinnamon, cloves, wildflower honey and caramel, with hints of ripe yellow fruit, small red berries, dark chocolate, bitter cocoa, noble woods and delicate toasted scents. On the palate it is conquered by an enveloping and complex warmth, with deep aromas that develop harmoniously, leaving an impression of persistent taste.
