Description
History
The history of the Caffo distillery begins in the 1800s, when the master distiller Giuseppe Caffo begins to extract precious distillates from the pomace at the foot of Etna. In 1915, the distillery moved to Calabria, settling in Limbadi, not far from the promontory that inspired the name of their flagship product: Capo Vaticano. Over the years, the Caffo Group has continued to grow steadily, thanks to the continuous innovations made to the distillation equipment, creating a rich range of liqueurs that are now famous all over the world.

To create a liter of Liquorice Caffo, at least 400 grams of authentic DOP Calabria licorice root are used. The natural extraction takes place at the Caffo Liquirizia factory, following an exclusive recipe which involves hot infusion in water, without any use of additional solvents.
