Description
History
The founder of the factory Amedeo Pomilio chose the name of the liqueur at the beginning of the twentieth century, at the suggestion of his poet friend Gabriele D’Annunzio, in reference to the presumed Roman origins of the recipe. The name derives from the Latin pun between “aurum”, which means gold, and “aurantium”, which means orange.
Production method
Aurum is a liqueur with an alcohol content of 40%, which is produced using brandy as a base and adding an infusion of oranges.

Usage
Aurum goes perfectly with desserts, especially with parrozzo, a specialty of Pescara. Besides being enjoyed as a drink, this liqueur is often used as an ingredient in desserts, to wet slices of sponge cake that will be used to prepare cakes or to create a delicious affogato with different types of ice cream.
Tasting notes
The Aurum liqueur has an intense golden color and has an intense aroma of candied orange with spicy notes. On the palate, the sweet and soft flavor is well balanced between the orange infusion and the spices used. The aftertaste is long and persistent, with a pleasantly sweet and spicy harmony of orange and spices.
