Description
History
Founded in 1912 by Édouard Langlois and his wife Jeanne Chateau, the Langlois-Chateau maison is one of the most important producers of Crémant in the Loire valley. Even today, the company is owned by the descendants of the Langlois family, who joined the Bollinger family in 1973. The maison is constantly looking for qualitative improvements and favors natural cultivation methods that respect the environment, nature, the ecosystem and biodiversity. The company practices the grassing of the under-row, mechanical processing and harvesting by hand with low yields to maintain quality. In the cellar, high quality materials are used to enhance the varietal character of the grapes. Despite its modest size, Langlois-Chateau is well present in the international market and oriented towards exports, representing the best enological excellence of the Loire valley.
