Description
History
Coca Buton is an alcoholic beverage obtained from the distillation of various herbs, including lemon balm, nettle, artemisia, absinthe and Peruvian coca leaves. These leaves are imported and subjected to a manufacturing process under the constant monitoring of the competent authorities. Thanks to the distillation phase, the cocaine molecule is eliminated, allowing Coca Buton to take on the characteristics of a typical herbal liqueur, and therefore consumption is legal in all respects.
Production method
Coca Buton is produced by distilling herbs including Peruvian coca, without the cocaine molecule, under the control of the competent authorities.
Alcohol content
36.5%
Tasting notes
Intense and brilliant emerald green colour. On the nose, herbaceous and balsamic aroma of eucalyptus, mint and mountain herbs, with a sparkling finish of green citrus fruits. In the mouth it is silky and sweet and finds herbaceous and floral notes of coca leaves, black tea with bergamot, mallow and citrus fruits, and a moderately bitter finish.
Usage
The consumption of the product traditionally takes place in a small and compact glass, preferably without any type of mixing, but in case of excessive alcohol content, it can be diluted with water or even served hot. There are several cocktail recipes that use coca liqueur, such as the “Daydreamer” made with maraschino, vegetable juice and coca liqueur, the “Magic Carpet” prepared with gin, drambuie, angostura and coca liqueur, or the “Romagna” which includes amaretto, brandy and coca liqueur.
