Description

History

Castello di Banfi Grappa di Brunello is a grappa produced by Banfi in Tuscany in Montalcino. Banfi was born in Montalcino in 1978 thanks to the will of two American brothers, John and Harry Mariani, who set themselves the goal of creating a large modern cellar with the aim, however, of maintaining high quality standards; the collaboration with the oenologist Ezio Rivella will also be fundamental. This grappa was created in order to offer a product that enhances the same characteristics of Brunello di Montalcino even in a distillate.

Grapes used

Pomace of Brunello di Montalcino

Production method

It is produced according to the traditional production method: the pomace, still impregnated after racking, is fermented and then distilled twice according to the traditionally used classic method.

It descends into the crystalline and clear white glass. On the nose hints of alcohol, hints of aromas of fruit and dried flowers, with an ethereal finish. In the mouth clean, enveloping, warm and with an aromatic and persistent finish.
