Description
History
Established in 2008, it is the first and only whiskey distillery in Taiwan, located in the heart of the mountains of Nantou County. Yushan Nantou Distillery is known for producing high quality Taiwanese whiskey, which has gained international recognition. The distillery uses the pure water of the local mountains and Taiwan’s unique subtropical climate to refine its spirits.
Production method
The production of blended whiskeys aims at obtaining harmonious and balanced products through the skilful mixing of single malt, whiskey obtained from the distillation of a single type of malted barley, and grain whiskey, or whiskey from various types of unmalted cereals. The result is distillates that tend to have less character and less decisive gustatory notes, but nonetheless endowed with great harmony, aromas and pleasantness.

Tasting notes
Amber colour. On the nose it opens in a generous and intense way; it manifests itself with fragrances of sultanas and pineapple, hints of honey and nuances of nutmeg. In the mouth it is soft and enveloping; ends with nuances of vanilla and coffee beans.
Usage
Perfect at the end of a meal or as a meditation; particularly recommended for lovers of balanced whiskeys. Great as a gift!
