Description
History
This distillate is the result of the production of a distillery located in Akashi, in the heart of Hyogo prefecture, not far from the famous city of Kobe. The White Oak Distillery was the pioneer in the art of whiskey production in Japan and has been in business since 1919. Even today, this distillery has remained faithful to a rigorously traditional method and creates limited quantities of spirits, intended for a selected audience of enthusiasts. Only starting from 1984 did the labels of the White Oak Distillery begin to cross the borders of Japan, attracting the attention of connoisseurs thanks to their refined elegance and the characteristic softness of their unmistakable style.
Production method
The production of blended whiskeys aims at obtaining harmonious and balanced products through the skilful mixing of single malt, whiskey obtained from the distillation of a single type of malted barley, and grain whiskey, or whiskey from various types of unmalted cereals. The result is distillates that tend to have less character and less decisive gustatory notes, but nonetheless endowed with great harmony, aromas and pleasantness.
