History
The company was founded in 1978 and included Fattoria del Cerro di Montepulciano and Montecorona ad Umbertite; it then saw its assets grow over the years with various acquisitions and then passed ownership from the Agnelli family to the current Unipol Group. More than forty years of winemaking history and ambassador of Italian quality in the world, also thanks to the continuous intervention of the oenologist Riccardo Cotarella.
Grapes used
White Malvasia
Tuscan Trebbiano
Production method
The grape harvest is done manually and the grapes are placed on racks in well-ventilated environments for a drying process, aiming to obtain the right concentration. The must derived from pressing the grapes is then transferred to oak barrels, where it completes alcoholic fermentation and undergoes a three-year refinement period.
Alcohol content
13.5%
Tasting notes
Amber colour. Clear notes of apricot, peach, fig and dried herbs emerge on the nose, while on the palate it is dense and sweet, with a freshness that lasts.
Possible combinations
Meditation wine at the end of a meal, traditionally paired with classic Tuscan cantucci. If you want to try a pairing, we highly recommend it with apricot or peach tarts, fig desserts or cream desserts.
