Description
History
The history of Tenuta Casteani, in the past Podere Casa Fabbri, has ancient roots that probably date back to the end of the 19th century. The area was rediscovered by its new owner: Mario Pelosi who, after almost thirty years of work, took over the property in 2002. That new challenge, for him who knows how an industry develops but has never had anything to do with the art of clay, has a very special charm. He carries out a careful work of soil analysis and the results are surprising. He refurbishes the Estate and prepares to change his life. Tenuta Casteani today is made up of 80 hectares of woods and vineyards squeezed between the metalliferous hills and the sea, giving life to a magnificent Wine Resort that merges with the real Winery in the heart of the Tuscan Maremma. Nestled on the rolling hills that dominate the hinterland of the upper Maremma, the Tenuta Casteani farmhouse is a perfect place both for holidays in nature and for short stays or weekends dedicated to tasting wines and typical local products.
