Description
History
In the most suitable areas of the hinterland of Albenga, great grapes have always been produced. And it is precisely here that Giobatta Vio known as “Aimone” decided to erect his winemaking “fiefdom”, enhancing and keeping intact the elements most dear to him: family, territory, naturalness. Growing organically, says Giobatta Vio, “is not a choice, neither technical nor economic: it is simply cultural.” Always using exclusively native vines, from Pigato to Vermentino for the whites, to Rossese and Granaccia for the reds, names such as MaRenè, Bon-in-da-Bon, Aimone, U Bastiò, Gigò soon made inroads in the imagination of enthusiasts as synonyms of quality and unity of production. “As we know, wines are not born from the will of the individual but from the whole family” And in fact Giobatta Vio is also supported in the management by his wife and three daughters, who take care of the oenological, agronomic and commercial part. Company with organic certification. Giobatta Vio was awarded as Winemaker of the Year 2017 by Gambero Rosso.

Bright straw yellow color with greenish reflections. Notes of cedar and grapefruit on the nose, with thyme, rosemary and notes of Mediterranean scrub. In the mouth the wine reveals a moderate softness but remains dry, with pleasant fruity hints and an intense freshness on the finish.
Possible combinations
Vermentino Aimone is perfect as an aperitif, especially on a warm spring or summer evening. In combination it is ideal with fish-based dishes, whether raw or cooked, delicate or with a more decisive flavour. Also try it with asparagus-based dishes.
