History
This delicate Italian bitter liqueur is the flagship product of the Caffo Distillery: the Vecchio Amaro del Capo, a Calabrian herb liqueur. It derives from an ancient Calabrian popular recipe which is then modified and improved generation after generation.
Production method
Vecchio Amaro del Capo is obtained with the infusion of various herbs, flowers and fruits from Calabria following ancient artisan traditions. It also uses fine wine distillates that have aged for a long time in oak barrels from Slavonia, kept for decades in aging warehouses under the supervision of the Italian State.

Tasting notes
Vecchio Amaro del Capo has a clear, amber color. On the nose notes of herbs, flowers and fruits that give a unique gentle and aromatic taste, while the Calabrian chili pepper adds a particular touch of spiciness to enhance its spicy notes.
Usage
Vecchio Amaro del Capo is perfect as a digestive or after-dinner, served chilled (even at -20°C).
