There are documents of the presence of the Letrari family in Trentino since 1647 in Borghetto d’Avio, on the banks of the Adige. Over the centuries they have carried out the most disparate professions and activities: river rafters, traders and later agricultural innovators. A prominent figure in the family was Leonello Letrari, who in the immediate post-war period was responsible for the commercial success outside the regional borders of the “wines of the Dolomites”, while simultaneously creating prestigious sparkling wines. In 1976, therefore, the company was founded as we know it today together with his wife Maria Vittoria. Today the company is run by Lucia, her daughter, also a winemaker, who on the path traced by her father continues to produce wines and sparkling wines of excellent quality, capable of perfectly representing the territory.

The grapes are harvested by hand and in crates, to preserve the quality and integrity of the grape. The grapes are destemmed and softly pressed to obtain a base wine which will then be bottled and will carry out, according to the principles established by the classic or champenoise method and thanks to specific yeasts, a refermentation in the bottle, responsible for the formation of the typical bubbles (taking of foam). The wine rests on the lees for 24 months; a slow and constant remuage will then be carried out and disgorgement (dégorgement) is reached without any dosage. It is then capped with a mushroom cap and cage. The wine stays for some time in the bottle even after disgorgement before being placed on the market.
Straw yellow color with golden reflections, persistent and fine foam. Notes of citrus fruit, yellow peach, apple and pineapple on the nose, with pleasant sensations of yeast, bread crust and pastry. In the mouth it is broad, enveloping, fine and elegant, with an elegant final acidity. Very pleasant and well built.
