Description
History
The company is about 80 hectares in the heart of Chianti Classico, in Castellina in Chianti. There are about 33 hectares of vineyards, located on the hills of a natural amphitheater, facing south-east at about 370 meters above sea level. Age of the vineyards between 5 and 30 years. Since the end of the 70s the company has been owned by the publisher Paolo Panerai. A census of the vines, undertaken immediately after the purchase, made it possible to select the best species of Sangioveto, the noble native version of Sangiovese, and Malvasia Nera, a variety that allows for a particular characterization of the wines.
