Description
History
Founded in 1999, Tenuta Argentiera is located in the southern part of the Bolgheri DOC area, on the hills of Donoratico, reaching a maximum altitude of 200 meters above sea level. From here, you can admire a panorama of vineyards and a variety of terrains that extend to the sea horizon of the Tuscan Archipelago.
The name of the estate is a tribute to Podere Argentiera, which was already present in the land registers of the Grand Duchy. Since 2016, the company has been led by Austrian entrepreneur Stanislaus Turnauer, who owns 80 hectares of land. This choice was determined by a deep love for this land. Tenuta Argentiera’s approach is based on cohesive teamwork and the ability to transform the international point of view and the respectful evolution of a territory into wine.

Tasting note
Intense ruby red color. Different fruity aromas emerge on the nose: notes of blackberries, blueberries, cherries and dried plums make themselves felt. Slightly spicy spicy nuances are also perceived, such as white pepper and cinnamon, along with hints of sweeter aromas, such as vanilla. On the palate, the wine is soft, with a well-balanced tannin, which extends into a persistent and intense finish, characterized by a notable cleanliness.
Possible combinations
Perfect with structured first courses or second courses based on red meat or game, even cooked for a long time, or with medium-aged cheeses.
