Description
History
In 1897, Matthew Gloag founded the label “The Grouse Brand”, which became so famous in just ten years that it was renamed “The Famous Grouse”. In 2011, the Naked Grouse made its appearance, a valuable addition to the family of The Famous Grouse.
Production method
The production of blended whiskeys aims at obtaining harmonious and balanced products through the skilful mixing of single malt, whiskey obtained from the distillation of a single type of malted barley, and grain whiskey, or whiskey from various types of unmalted cereals. The result is distillates that tend to have less character and less decisive gustatory notes, but nonetheless endowed with great harmony, aromas and pleasantness.

Tasting notes
Amber colour. On the nose, the Naked Grouse manifests itself with soft aromas of barley malt, butter biscuits, custard and toasted dried fruit, with a delicate touch of cherries. The palate is wrapped in an oily texture, in which notes of red fruit, custard, caramel, orange peel and cereals emerge, followed by subtle hints of cotton candy. The finish, of medium persistence, leaves a harmonious trace of citrus fruits, cocoa, cloves and a delicate hint of smoke.
Usage
Perfect at the end of a meal or as a meditation; particularly recommended for lovers of balanced whiskeys.
