Description
History
Ramos Pinto is an old and prestigious winery that produces Port, located in the beautiful Douro region. Founded in 1880 by brothers Adriano and Antonio Ramos Pinto, it quickly established itself as a point of reference for all producers thanks to the innovative strategies and impeccable quality of their wines. Thanks to the constant pioneering impulse of the founders, the company has remained at the forefront of the production of high quality wines, carefully studying the soils and grape varieties used and controlling the entire production process.
Production method
The Port is produced with grapes selected from the best vineyards of the Douro, harvested by hand and fermented in large steel or wooden vats. After fermentation, alcohol is added to stop the fermentation and preserve the natural sugars of the grape. The wine is aged in oak barrels for at least 2 years, undergoing a process of oxidation and concentration of flavours. Porto Reserva is aged for at least 7 years before being bottled following the judgment of a commission of experts.

Tasting notes
In appearance, it has a color that recalls brick, with shades of intense red. On the nose, the olfactory bouquet offers lively and intense notes of raisins, surrounded by vinous hints and sweet spices. On the palate, the wine shows a decisive and full-bodied entry, but evolves in a delicate and refined way, giving a sensation of pleasantness and finesse. The finish is clean and dry, with a fruity aftertaste that lingers for a long time.
Usage
Port can be enjoyed at room temperature or slightly chilled, as an aperitif or in combination with cheeses, desserts and chocolate. Health!
