History
Founded in 1978 by brothers John and Harry Mariani, Banfi has become a point of reference in the world of wine in Italy. The Mariani brothers, from the United States, recognized the unique potential of the Montalcino hills for the production of high quality wines. With great passion and commitment, they decided to invest in the region and create a state-of-the-art winery. Banfi is famous for its Brunello di Montalcino wines, which represent the flagship of the company. Thanks to the commitment in the selection of the grapes, the care of the vineyards and the careful vinification, Banfi has reached a level of excellence in the production of Brunello di Montalcino, recognized internationally.

Production method
Fermentation at controlled temperature (16-18°C) in steel vats and a small part in French oak barriques (350 l.)
20% of the aging is in 350 l French oak barriques and the remainder in steel.

Tasting notes
Straw yellow color with golden reflections. Enveloping and generous structure, this wine stands out for its great diversity of aromas and flavors. On the nose, there are intense notes of dried apricot, honey and candied orange. On the palate, the high presence of residual sugar is harmoniously balanced by a pleasant acidity. The wine is balanced, silky and incredibly persistent
Possible combinations
It goes well with dry pastries but also with blue cheeses.
