Description
History
The De Tarczal estate and vineyards belonged to the Conti Alberti family. These lands passed to the current ownership family when the Countess Alberti brought them as a dowry to Gèza dell’Adami de Tarczal, admiral of the Austro-Hungarian fleet. The company is located in Vallagarina, an area particularly suited to the production of quality wine. One of the historically most important and famous wines of the company is the Marzemino.

Production method
The harvest takes place when the best Marzemino grapes have reached overripeness; this makes the wort very rich. The vinification is traditional in red, half takes place in steel and half in wooden vats. After alcoholic and malolactic fermentation, the wine is aged for 18 months in large oak barrels; after a further period of bottle the wine is finally placed on the market.

Tasting notes
Brilliant ruby red colour. On the nose notes of ripe and lively red fruit such as cherries, wild berries and raspberries, a marked sensation of violets, balsamic notes and fine spices such as black pepper and toasting. In the mouth the wine is full, rich, ample and soft; overall it is however balanced thanks to an elegant acidity and ripe tannins that close the sip.
Possible combinations
Marzemino “Husar” by De Tarczal is suitable with important dishes linked to the Trentino tradition such as typical cheeses or boiled meats. Also excellent with savory cold cuts, medium-aged cheeses and second courses of meat, even very cooked and flavored. Given the great balance and richness of aromas, it is a splendid wine to be savored and enjoyed also by the glass.
