Description
History
Founded in 1843 by Joseph Krug, Maison Krug stands out for its philosophy of respecting the individuality of each vineyard plot, transforming its fruit into unique wines. The Clos du Mesnil, enclosed by walls since 1698, was acquired by the Krug family in 1971, with the first vintage produced in 1979. The Krug Clos du Mesnil 2008 represents the twentieth edition of this exceptional Champagne.

The grapes, harvested exclusively from the Clos du Mesnil in 2008, are vinified separately to preserve the distinctive characteristics of the terroir. After fermentation, the wine matures on the lees for several years in Krug’s cellars, developing complexity and depth before disgorgement.
