Description
History
Tuscany is an authentic natural Eden of biological diversity that continues to surprise us incessantly. In this enchanting place, Juniper is a plant that thrives spontaneously along the coast and even up to an altitude of 1500 metres. Here, you can find as many as 60 varieties of this plant, each with berries characterized by an extraordinary level of organoleptic quality and sensory profile. Gin, which originated in Italy in the 11th century, has its roots in the renowned and influential “Scuola Medica Salernitana”, the first and most prestigious medical institution in the world. It is precisely within this institution that the Monks, in order to preserve its therapeutic properties, produced an alcoholic distillate based on Juniper berries. In 1881, the famous poet Giosuè Carducci dedicated an evocative poem entitled “Gin and Ginepri” to this marriage.
Production method
To produce gin it is necessary to “aromatize” an alcoholic base with some elements of which one of the components or often the main one is juniper. This can happen in various ways: either through maceration of the botanicals in alcohol, which is then redistilled to find a colorless and “cleaner” product, or the botanicals can be placed in a container placed above the alembic, so that alcohol in the form of vapor extracts aromas and perfumes.

Tasting notes
Colorless and clean. The scent of Tuscan iris immediately emerges on the nose, one of the central elements of this blend, together with juniper, rosemary and lavender, as well as the characteristic hint of milk that characterizes this product. On the palate, it is extremely delicate, refined and aromatic.
Usage
Perfect at the end of a meal or as a meditation drink, excellent for creating high quality refreshing cocktails!
