Description
History
The Martell maison was founded by Jean Martell in 1715, a merchant from northern France, who was among the first cognac merchants in Northern Europe and especially in England.
Under the leadership first of Martell’s widow, and then of her two sons, around 1815 this house became the first cognac house in England.
Martell V.S. it represents the production base of the cognacs of this maison; promptness in drinking and immediacy are sought, however balanced by a good aromatic expressiveness.
Production method
Cognac obtained through the blend of some of the finest spirits of the Cognac area. In fact, all the estates of the maison are located in the Borderies area, one of the smallest and most prestigious areas of the AOC. Even the style of production provides for a distillation without yeasts, a process which serves to give a better drinkability and immediacy to the final product. The spirits were previously aged for 3 years in oak wood.

Perfect as a meditation wine or after-dinner/digestive.
It can sometimes be used in mixology for the preparation of some delicious cocktails.
Tasting notes
It has an amber yellow color with golden reflections. On the nose aromas of ripe apricot and dried figs, hints of flowers and sweet spices. Enveloping in the mouth but still fresh to drink, with a finish that returns to the spice.
