Description
History
Cigliano di Sopra is a historic estate located in Chianti Classico, managed by Maddalena Fucile and Matteo Vacari. With backgrounds in agronomy and international experience, they have transformed the family estate into a winery practicing organic and biodynamic agriculture, emphasizing biodiversity and environmental respect.

Production method
The grapes come from 11 plots with sandy soils rich in limestone. Spontaneous fermentation occurs in stainless steel with macerations lasting 10-30 days and twice-daily pump-overs. Aging lasts 14 months in cement, followed by at least 6 months in bottle. Production is limited to about 2,000 bottles per vintage.
