Description
History
The company is among the small realities of Chianti, but run with passion since 1926 by the Bucciarelli family. In the past, the Casanova farm also belonged to Michelangelo Bonarroti, exactly since 1549. In 2003, however, important investments were made for the renewal of the cellar; the company today extends for about 23 total hectares of which 13 are vineyards. Of these, 80% is cultivated with Sangiovese and the rest is divided between Colorino and Canaiolo. The rest of the property is occupied by the 500 sq m cellar and 2000 olive trees, from which a very good EVO oil is produced.

Tasting notes
Ruby red color with brilliant reflections. On the nose notes of red fruit, cherry, ripe berries, slightly dried violets, herbaceous hints, roasting spices, coffee, black pepper and cloves. In the mouth it is full-bodied and fresh thanks to its acidity, the tannins are smooth and well present. Definitely long and fruity finish, with hints of spices too.
Possible combinations
Excellent with cured meats, even savory cheeses, first courses with sauces and/or red meats. Great wine also to drink by the glass for the great pleasure it expresses.
