The Fattoria di Cigliano di Sopra, in San Casciano Val di Pesa, represents excellence in the Chianti Classico area thanks to its young team and attention to tradition and innovation. The vineyards, cultivated with the utmost respect for the environment, produce quality grapes that are vinified separately and then carefully blended. The attention to detail that characterizes the management of the vineyard is also found in the cellar, where excellent labels are produced such as Chianti Classico, Bianco “Ciglianello” and Merlot “M”. These wines speak of passion, history and love for their land, resulting authentic and representative of the territory.
The vines are grown using sustainable and biodynamic agriculture systems. It is left to ferment exclusively by indigenous yeasts; after vinification, the wine ages for at least 14 months in tonneau and barrique and is not filtered before being bottled.
The wine has an intense ruby color. On the nose, fruity notes of black cherry, cherry and pomegranate emerge, combined with hints of damp earth, spices and sweet tobacco. On the palate it is fluid, with a well integrated tannic texture, broad and persistent in the finish.
It goes perfectly with roasted or grilled meat, game and aged cheeses.
