Description
History
Castello di Ama selected the best grapes from its historic vineyards — Bellavista, Casuccia, San Lorenzo and Montebuoni — to produce this cuvée that expresses Gaiole in Chianti’s terroir at its fullest. The vineyards are situated at 460‑525 m altitude, with mixed north‑east/south‑west exposure, on calcareous and clay soils. Hand harvest took place from September 13 to October 6, 2021; fermentation separately with indigenous yeasts in steel, malolactic fermentation, followed by 12 months aging in barriques (22 % new) according to Gran Selezione rules, then bottled in June 2023.
