Description
History
Bushmills distillery is the oldest in Ireland and possibly the entire globe; there is evidence of the beginning of the activity since 1608. The company is located right in the village of Bushmills, in the extreme north of the Irish island.
Production method
The recipe and production methods of this whiskey date back even before the Prohibition era; it is obtained through the combination of malted and unmalted whiskeys, in order to seek an almost perfect balance. Everything is aged in oloroso ex-sherry casks, to enrich the olfactory profile and character of the distillate.
