Description
History
The Domaine has its origins in 1865, when George Lochardet bought about twenty hectares of vineyards mainly in the Côte de Beaune. In 1983, Brigitte Lochardet’s marriage to Christian Heitz gave rise to the current name of the Domaine, but the vineyards were leased to other producers. In 2011, Christian and Brigitte’s son, Armand Heitz, became a winemaker and gradually regained control of the family vineyards, now managed under a biodynamic regime. The Domaine is slowly regaining possession of all the other owned vineyards, and since 2013, the wines have been marketed under the Heitz-Lochardet label. Armand seeks to create wines that reflect the terroir and that are pure and refined rather than concentrated and powerful. The white and red wines are suitable for aging but also for short-medium term consumption.
Production method
Chardonnay in Burgundy is produced through traditional vinification, with fermentation in oak barrels and aging on the lees for 12-18 months. The resulting wines are characterized by freshness, minerality and complexity, with the ability to age well in the bottle.

Tasting notes
Intense straw yellow color with greenish and golden reflections. The nose reveals notes of butter, vanilla and toasted almonds. On the palate it is soft, round and complex with hints of yellow-fleshed fruit and toasted. The balanced acidity gives a sensation of freshness and long persistence.
Possible combinations
Its ideal combination is with white meat dishes, especially poultry, but it also goes perfectly with fish and cheeses.
