Description
History
Banfi was founded in 1978 by two Italian-American brothers John and Harry Mariani; from the outset, the two planned to create a very large production structure which was however able to balance the quantity with the quality of the wines produced, through cellars and cutting-edge tools. The collaboration with the oenologist Ezio Rivella, one of the most renowned professionals in the sector in Italy, will also be fundamental. Also in those years, Banfi took over the historic Piedmontese winery Bruzzone, active since 1860 and transforming it into Banfi Piemonte with a view to producing quality classic method sparkling wines.

Production method
Fermentation in steel vats for 12-14 days and malolactic fermentation. The refinement is in oak barrels for 10 months.

Tasting notes
Ruby red color with purplish hues. On the nose complex with hints of berries, plum, tobacco and vanilla. In the mouth it is full-bodied, round, full, with fruity hints.
Possible combinations
It goes perfectly with grilled or braised red meats, game, aged cheeses and dishes based on porcini mushrooms.
