Description
History
Girlan/Cornaiano is a village of which there are historical documents since 1085; the variety of soils, the altitude which varies from 250 to 550 m a.s.l. and the particular microclimate make it an area particularly suited to the cultivation of native and international vines. However, the current cellar was founded in 1923 thanks to the foresight of 23 members, who will see the company continue to evolve, until the inauguration of new premises and more modern production facilities in 2010.
Grapes used
Gewurztraminer 100%
Production method
The grapes are harvested strictly by hand in crates so that only the best bunches are used. The still very fresh grapes are then destemmed and softly pressed. Fermentation takes place at low temperature in stainless steel vats. A period of refinement in stainless steel also follows before bottling and being placed on the market.
Alcohol content

Intense straw yellow color with intense and bright reflections. On the nose notes of intense tropical fruit such as pineapple, mango, pink grapefruit, orange peel and lime, with floral notes of yellow flowers and some mineral sensations. Soft and intense in the mouth, with a long and fragrant aftertaste.
Possible combinations
Girlan Gewürztraminer is perfect for lovers of fragrant and intense wines. It lends itself well to drinking by the glass or as a refreshing aperitif on a spring/summer evening. As a combination it is suitable with spicy cheeses or with very tasty and fragrant white meat dishes, such as chicken curry.
