Founded in 1999, Tenuta Argentiera is located in the southern part of the Bolgheri DOC area, on the hills of Donoratico, reaching a maximum altitude of 200 meters above sea level. From here, you can admire a panorama of vineyards and a variety of terrains that extend to the horizon of the sea of the Tuscan archipelago.
The name of the estate is a tribute to Podere Argentiera, which was already present in the land registers of the Grand Duchy. Since 2016, the company has been led by Austrian entrepreneur Stanislaus Turnauer, who owns 80 hectares of land. This choice was determined by a deep love for this land. Tenuta Argentiera’s approach is based on cohesive teamwork and the ability to transform the international point of view and the respectful evolution of a territory into wine.
Soft pressing, low temperature fermentation. Aging on the fine lees exclusively in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature, the wine was subsequently blended and bottled.
Straw yellow colour. The nose perceives a freshness accompanied by fruity fragrances of pear, banana and apricot. On the palate, floral notes of lavender and white flowers stand out, together with an evident spicy touch of sage. The wine is fresh and pleasant on the palate, maintaining at the same time an excellent balance. The prolonged and savory finish is characterized by its aromatic and mineral notes.
This wine is perfect to be enjoyed with seafood appetizers and goes excellently with fish dishes and roasted white meats.
