Description
History
Isola delle Falcole is a winery located between Panzano and Montefioralle, in the heart of Chianti. Founded by a group of young enthusiasts, the estate is dedicated to producing wines that honor local traditions, utilizing natural cultivation methods and meticulous winemaking practices.

Production method
The grapes are sourced from vineyards situated between 400 and 520 meters above sea level, with south/southeast exposure. Fermentation occurs in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures, with maceration lasting 12-15 days at 26-28°C. The wine is aged for 18 months in large barrels, followed by at least 8 months of bottle refinement.

Tasting notes
The Vecchia Vigna 2020 exhibits a deep ruby-red color. On the nose, it reveals aromas of ripe red fruits, floral notes, and spicy hints. The palate is structured and balanced, with soft tannins and a persistent finish that reflects the characteristics of the Tuscan terroir.
Food pairings
This wine pairs excellently with traditional Tuscan dishes such as bistecca alla fiorentina, pappardelle with wild boar, and aged cheeses. It is also well-suited for roasted meats and grilled dishes.
