History
The history of Panzanello begins in 1427 with the selection of the best grape varieties by Francesco Ciucci d’Ugolino. In 1964, the property passed to Anna Maria Sommaruga who decided to move there six months a year and in 1993 her nephew Andrea, after investing in the quality of his vineyards, decided to move permanently to the structure. In 1995 Andrea bottles his wine for the first time, and today the company is certified organic and Andrea’s sons, Giorgio and Carlo, collaborate in the company.

Production method
The grapes are selected manually and come from the best plots exposed to sunlight. After destemming and pressing, the must is fermented in steel for about a month and then left to refine in French oak barriques for 24 months. Finally, the wine is bottled and aged for another 24 months before being marketed. Furthermore, the wine is not filtered to maintain its characteristic aromas.

Tasting notes
Dark and brilliant ruby red color, with garnet rim. On the nose notes of blackberries and black cherries, raspberries, violets, wild herbs, eucalyptus, peppermint leaves and sweet spices of black pepper, cloves, cinnamon, tobacco and vanilla. n the mouth the wine is very soft, passionate, with great structure and intense; the tannins are bright but elegant and mature, the acidity balanced and everything develops on a background of iodized minerals. The finish is spicy and long.
Possible combinations
Manuzio is a great Supertuscan of great complexity and softness that knows how to stand out in the panorama of the great Tuscan wines.
