Description
History
Tignanello was the first Sangiovese to be aged in barriques, the first modern red wine blended with non-traditional varieties (such as Cabernet), and among the first red wines in Chianti Classico not to use white grapes. A revolutionary wine that has marked the history of Italian winemaking.

78% Sangiovese, 18% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Cabernet Franc.
Vinification and aging
Fermentation in stainless steel with skin maceration for about 12-14 days. Aging for 17 months in French and Hungarian oak barriques, followed by additional months in bottle before release.
