Description
History
We are located in Alcamo in the Fustuchera district, where the cousins Sergio and Luigi Stalteri, together with the technical support of Alessandro Viola, lead this dynamic and innovative company. Three labels based on Catarratto, Nerello Cappuccio, Nerello Mascalese and Syrah are produced for a production of approximately 8000 bottles. Artisan vinifications, very low use of sulfur dioxide and maniacal management of macerations that give us wines of extraordinary elegance and workmanship.

Production method
The grapes, harvested in September when fully ripe in Palermo, are macerated for 7 days to extract aroma and colour. After fermentation in steel at room temperature, the wine ages for 6 months in chestnut tonneaux and is bottled without filtering.

Tasting notes
The “Insolito” 2017 Longarico BIO Terre Siciliane IGT wine is a dark ruby red wine, cloudy and impenetrable, with notes of red fruit, minerality and spices on the nose. In the mouth, fruit and citric acidity predominate, with a long and enveloping finish with spicy notes typical of syrah. A unique wine of its kind.
Possible combinations
Terre Siciliane IGT “Insolito” 2017 Longarico BIO 75 cl bottle is a wine to be experienced in all respects. Complex combination, I would try it with spaghetti with Sicilian dried cherry tomato sauce, a pinch of garlic and parsley.
