Description
History
Cuervo began to dominate the tequila industry in the 1940s. Tequila made its first significant entry into the United States during Prohibition, when it was smuggled from Mexico to the southwestern states. Tequila gained further popularity in the United States during World War II, when many American distilleries turned to war production and there were restrictions on European imports. In the 1980s, increasing numbers of American tourists visited Mexico and discovered tequila.
Production method
Tequila, an emblematic product of Mexico, lends itself to different mixes depending on its aging. Among the various types, the most popular is the Blanco, which matures for two months maintaining its characteristic white color. This tequila is often consumed as a shot thanks to its clean and linear flavor, but it is at its best in cocktails, adding a touch of class.
