History
In 1976, Don Javier Sauza sold his two most advanced distilleries to the giant Beam Suntory, while the third distillery was not included in the sale because it was now considered technologically outdated. In 1999, Guillermo Sauza, Don Javier’s nephew, decided to reopen what appeared to be a museum of tequila production, stuck in the 1940s, and began producing his tequilas in an artisanal way, exactly as it was done in the past.
Production method
Tequila, an emblematic product of Mexico, lends itself to different mixes depending on its aging. Among the various types, the most popular is the Blanco, which matures for two months maintaining its characteristic white color. This tequila is often consumed as a shot thanks to its clean and linear flavor, but it is at its best in cocktails, adding a touch of class.
