Description
History
Located in Radda in Chianti (Tuscany), Tenuta di Carleone pursues a modern vision of Chianti: organic/biodynamic viticulture, high elevation (around 650 m in the key vineyard), soils of alberese and galestro, and minimal cellar intervention. “Il Guercio” is their special cuvée — 100% Sangiovese from terraced vineyards in Lamole, harvested late to capture maximum ripeness and clarity. The 2023 vintage benefits from excellent diurnal range and attentive vineyard work.

Tasting notes
Intense ruby colour with vivid highlights. On the nose: ripe red berries, dark cherry, raspberry, subtle spices and a mineral edge from the terraced site. On the palate: vibrant acidity, fine tannins and depth that invites slow enjoyment. Long, sapid finish.
Food pairings
Excellent with roasted or grilled red meat, light game, mushrooms in rich preparations, hearty ragù pasta dishes and aged cheeses. Also ideal as a wine for contemplation.
