Production method
The Wildenstein is classified as “Grosses Gewächs,” indicating a top-quality wine from a prestigious vineyard. Grapes are hand-harvested and undergo controlled fermentation, followed by aging in oak barrels to develop complexity and structure.

Tasting notes
- Color: Deep ruby red.
- Nose: Complex aromas of herbs, spices, red and black berries, with hints of bacon, floral notes, Provence herbs, tobacco, and pepper.
- Palate: Concentrated and deep, with ripe fruit, complex spices, smoky and toasted notes, pepper, dried herbs, tobacco, and intense minerality. Structured, still developing, with a long, layered finish.
Possible pairings
This Spätburgunder pairs excellently with meat dishes such as roast duck, beef fillet, or game. It also complements aged cheeses and mushroom-based dishes.
