Description
History
With the presence of six wineries strategically located in the main districts of the island, Planeta offers a wide selection of wines that faithfully reflect the territory, creating a unique experience. Ulmo in Sambuca di Sicilia, Dispensa in Menfi, Dorilli in Vittoria, Buonivini in Noto, Feudo di Mezzo on Etna in Castiglione di Sicilia and, finally, La Baronia in Capo Milazzo are the locations where Planeta’s cellars are located. This winery began its modern journey in 1995, but can boast a history and tradition that has been handed down for 17 generations, dating back to the 16th century. It is a journey through Sicily and its finest wines, a project by the Planeta cellars that embraces both the past and the future, immersing itself wonderfully in the present. Currently, Planeta’s vineyards extend over a total area of 370 hectares, where the vines are cultivated and cared for with the utmost respect for the environment and the ecosystem. This philosophy is also reflected in the company management, which follows the same style present in the vineyards, protecting the landscape, adopting renewable energy and practicing the recycling of resources and materials.
