Description
History
Domaine Sautereau boasts a winemaking tradition spanning ten generations in the Sancerre region of the Loire. Currently led by David Sautereau, the estate covers 22 hectares of vineyards located in the communes of Crézancy, Bué, and Sancerre. The domaine’s philosophy is based on respecting the terroir and producing wines that reflect the authenticity and typicity of the Sancerre appellation.

- 100% Sauvignon Blanc
Production method
- Harvest: Manual harvesting during the coolest hours of the day to preserve the aromas.
- Vinification: Gentle pressing with a pneumatic press to maintain the integrity of the grapes.
- Fermentation: In temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks to enhance the wine’s freshness and fruity aromas.
- Aging: On fine lees in stainless steel tanks for about 4-6 months, aiming to preserve the wine’s aromatic bouquet and complexity.
Alcohol content
- 12.5% vol.
Tasting notes
- Color: Straw yellow with greenish highlights.
- Aroma: Intense aromas of citrus fruits like grapefruit and lemon, accompanied by notes of exotic fruits such as mango and plum, and floral accents.
- Taste: On the palate, it is fresh and well-balanced, with lively acidity and pleasant minerality. The finish is long and persistent, with aftertastes of ripe fruit and floral notes.
Possible pairings
Perfect as an aperitif or paired with fish dishes, shellfish, seafood, sushi, goat cheeses, and summer salads.
