Description
History
The Antinori family is one of the longest-lived wine dynasties in Tuscany; in fact, it has been producing wine in the region for 25 generations, exactly since 1385. The company takes its name from the locality of the same name, 6 km south-west from Montalcino, and has 185 hectares of land of which 65 are under vineyards and highly suited to the production of wine . The estate has been in family ownership since 1995.

Production method
The grapes, carefully chosen by Antinori during harvesting, are subjected to delicate destemming and pressing. Subsequently, they ferment in steel tanks at a controlled temperature of around 25 degrees Celsius, remaining in maceration for around 8-10 days. Malolactic fermentation follows this phase, after which the wine is transferred to wooden barrels, where it slowly matures over a period of 12 months. During this period, the wine develops its complexity and refinement.

Tasting note
Intense ruby red color. On the nose notes of ripe red fruit, cherry and berry jam, intense spices of tobacco, black pepper, cloves, dark chocolate and licorice. Mature on the palate, with good structure and complex, harmonious and closed by balanced acidity and tannins.
Possible combinations
This wine goes perfectly with traditional first courses and high quality meats.
