History
Ricci Curbastro is one of Franciacorta’s historic estates, with a long agricultural and winemaking tradition rooted in the areas of Capriolo and Iseo. The estate has produced its Franciacorta Brut since 1983, making it one of the most established wines in its range. In 1995 it received one of its first major accolades with the Oscar from Gambero Rosso’s Guida Spumanti d’Italia. Today it continues to be produced according to the traditional Franciacorta Method, maintaining a style focused on elegance, balance and drinkability.

Grape variety
60% Chardonnay, 30% Pinot Blanc, 9% Pinot Noir, 1% Erbamat.

Vinification
The first fermentation takes place at controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks. Tirage is carried out the following spring, initiating a slow secondary fermentation directly in bottle according to the traditional Franciacorta Method. The wine remains on its lees for at least 24 months, reaching approximately 32 months of total maturation from harvest. After disgorgement, a very dry dosage of approximately 5 g/l is added, followed by several additional months of cellar ageing before release.

Alcohol content
12.5% ABV.

Tasting notes
Bright straw yellow, with a rich mousse and fine, persistent perlage. The nose is elegant and expressive, combining delicate floral and fruity aromas with nuances of yeast and freshly baked bread developed during lees ageing. The palate is structured yet smooth and creamy, retaining a distinctly dry and fresh character. Fruity notes accompany a balanced, harmonious mouthfeel and a long, persistent finish.

Food pairings
Excellent as an aperitif and ideal with hors d’oeuvres, starters, soft cheeses and delicate fish dishes. It also pairs beautifully with shellfish, seafood risotto, sushi, baked fish and lighter white meat dishes. The Magnum format makes it particularly suitable for dinners, receptions and special celebrations.
