History
Nicola Gatta is a visionary winemaker based in Gussago, in the easternmost part of Franciacorta, Lombardy. He manages 6 hectares of vineyards situated at 400 meters above sea level, characterized by calcareous soils that impart notable minerality to his wines. Following biodynamic farming principles, Nicola avoids the use of herbicides and synthetic chemicals, favoring spontaneous fermentations without filtration or clarification. His production philosophy is rooted in respecting natural rhythms and expressing the unique terroir of his vineyards.

Production method
The grapes are hand-harvested and undergo spontaneous fermentation in stainless steel. The base wine is then blended with wines aged in cement and undergoes secondary fermentation in the bottle following the Metodo Classico. The wine matures on the lees for 40 months (40 lunar cycles) without the addition of sulfites, preserving its integrity and purity.
