Description
History
Castello di Ama, founded in 1972 in Gaiole in Chianti, launched Purple Rose in 2017 as its first Sangiovese rosé partly fermented in barriques. The aim was to highlight terroir identity through a structured, refined rosé. Grapes are sourced from the best Sangiovese vats with roughly 12 hours of maceration to achieve depth of color and aroma.
