Description
History
Located in the historic Douro region, Quinta do Tedo blends tradition and innovation in the production of high-quality Porto wines. Vintage Portos are the pinnacle of their offerings, crafted only in exceptional years. The 2015 vintage was outstanding, with ideal weather conditions allowing perfect grape ripening.
Grapes used
- Traditional blend of Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, and Tinta Roriz, sourced from terraced vineyards in the Douro Valley.
Production method
- Harvest: Handpicked, with rigorous selection of the best grapes.
- Vinification: Traditional fermentation in lagares (stone vats) with foot treading, halted by the addition of brandy to maintain natural sweetness.
- Aging: Aged in oak barrels for about two years, unfiltered bottling preserves structure and complexity.

20% vol.
Tasting notes
- Color: Deep ruby red with violet highlights.
- Aroma: Intense bouquet of ripe black fruits, plums, blackberries, and cherries, complemented by notes of dark chocolate, sweet spices, and a subtle floral hint.
- Taste: Full-bodied and enveloping, with robust yet velvety tannins, vibrant acidity, and a long, persistent finish with fruit and chocolate notes.
Possible pairings
Perfect with blue cheeses like Stilton or Roquefort, dark chocolate desserts, berry tarts, or nut-based treats. Also excellent as a meditation wine.
Serving temperature
16-18°C. Decant before serving to remove any sediment.
