Description
History
John Graham founded Porto Churchill in 1981. The company was born out of John’s desire to continue the family legacy after his father sold Graham Port to the English. While maintaining production methods based on tradition and experience, John wanted to create a unique style to stand out from other Portos. The highest quality production has won excellent recognition, making the Churchill Port refined and distinctive in the market, known as “the boutique Port”.
Production method
Port is produced with grapes selected from the best Douro vineyards, harvested by hand and fermented in large steel or wooden vats. After fermentation, alcohol is added to stop the fermentation and preserve the natural sugars of the grapes. The wine is aged in oak barrels for at least 2 years, undergoing a process of oxidation and concentration of flavors. The Porto Reserva is aged for at least 7 years before being bottled after the judgment of a commission of experts.

Tasting notes
Amber colour. On the nose a complex and seductive combination of cigar box aromas, caramel and cedar wood, with hints of fresh and black fruit. On the palate it is elegant and enveloping, with notes of dried fruit and orange peel, together with floral and mentholated nuances, which end in a long and velvety finish.
Usage
Port is enjoyed at room temperature or slightly chilled, as an aperitif or paired with cheeses, desserts and chocolate. Health!
