History
Omina Romana, located in Velletri in the Castelli Romani hills (Lazio), works with a strong focus on terroir and the interpretation of local varieties such as Cesanese. The 2020 Cesanese is part of this mission and is produced from selected vineyards on Lazio soils. The “Uvaggio” project aims to express the variety with integrity and transparency.

Tasting notes
Bright ruby red colour. On the nose: cherry, raspberry, small red fruits, delicate spices and a subtle herbaceous vein typical of the variety. On the palate it is lively and brisk, with well-integrated tannins, good acidity giving the sip a dynamic feel, a savoury finish and pleasant persistence.
Food pairings
Pairs well with grilled red meats, light game, sautéed mushrooms, flavourful first courses such as pappardelle with ragù or game sauces, semi-aged cheeses. Also perfect with rustic yet refined Lazio cuisine.
