Tasting notes
Intense garnet red colour. On the nose dried plum, black cherry and wild berry jam, intense iodized mineral notes and spices that definitely dominate the olfactory panorama: pepper, mint leaves, cloves, vanilla, leather, arabica coffee, dark cocoa and hints of licorice. On the palate it is broad, soft and fine, with great minerality and structure and closed by elegant tannins and ripe acidity. Very long and pleasant finish.
Possible combinations
Wine of extreme longevity and very elegant sensations; the life of the wine is even measured in decades. Winemakers agree in defining the optimal time to consume this wine from 5-6 years onwards from the year of harvest. This is why it is a candidate to become a special gift to be consumed on special occasions and a meditation wine par excellence. The optimal pairing, on the other hand, is achieved with dishes rich in red meat or game, even cooked for a long time.
